Mr. Villarreal's Class

I’m an English teacher who started 2022-2023. I'm currently teaching AP English Lit, English 10, and ERWC. In the past I have taught creative writing and film!

 

Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, I’ve been through many struggles that have taught me the true meaning of resilience, and that’s one of the most important lessons I want my students to learn as well—how to persevere, adapt, and grow no matter what challenges they face. Teaching is more than just a job for me—it’s a chance to help students find their voices, tell their stories, and see the power of their own growth. Nothing is more rewarding than watching them develop confidence in their ideas and creativity.

 

I spend my free time walking my Labrador, Duke, going to Disney with my wife, and working on my cars.
