Westchester is a full magnet high school and all students wishing to enroll in our school must apply through the Choices application process. The Late Application Window for the 2022-2023 school year is currently open. We are accepting applications through the Magnet Application Process found on the eChoices Website.

Choices brochures/applications will be available in all LAUSD schools, Educational Service Centers, LAUSD Headquarters, Parent Community Services Branch, and Los Angeles City Libraries. If you have any questions regarding the Choices process, please call: (877) 462-4798 or (213) 241-4177

Westchester has three (3) magnets for parents and students to choose from:

WESM Health and Sports Medicine Magnet
WESM Environmental and Natural Science Magnet
WESM Gifted/Highly Gifted STEAM Magnet (students must be identified as Gifted/Highly Gifted to be accepted)

ITEMS NEEDED FOR NEW STUDENTS

2023 - 2024 STUDENT PRE-ENROLLMENT Documents:

LAUSD Student Enrollment Form
LAUSD Student Emergency Information Form
LAUSD Student Housing Questionnaire

The following verification documents are required in addition to the pre-enrollment forms (ALL are required for enrollment)

Proof of Residence: (utility service bill/contract, property tax bill/payment, rental/lease agreement, government mail, current pay stub, voter registration)
Verification of Student: (birth certificate, passport)
Verification of Parent/Guardian: (adult’s government–issued identification: driver’s license, DMV ID card)
Proof of Immunization: Immunization records, COVID-19 Vaccination
Transcript from previous school
Copy of IEP (Individual Educational Plan) or 504 (if applicable)
Court Documents or Court Orders (if applicable)
